My Big Boy by Melissa

8.26.07

Nothing too exciting about this picture - we just woke up and started playing, you guessed it, TRAINS - but I snapped it because Ben looks like such a big boy today! I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

Warning! Nasty Photos by Melissa

8.25.07

Last Sunday, Daddy, Mommy and Ben went for a hike/had a picnic at Lair 'o the Bear park. Mommy thought she might have been bitten by a couple mosquitoes or spiders because her leg was itchy. But, after a week of constant itching and a spreading rash that oozes, she thinks she must have poison ivy/oak. Ouch!

My First Pony Ride by Melissa

8.25.07

Daddy is sick today :( but Mommy and Ben went to 'Fun Fest' - a small local festival. Ben got to ride on a pony for the first time! His pony's name was Strawberry - and Ben even shouted "Giddy Up!" and "Ride 'Em Cowboy!". He also got to go down a big slide and jump in a bounce house shaped like a cow. We walked around and did some shopping at the local craft booths where Ben got a button and a lollypop. Later, we went and ate 'green noodles' (our favorite pesto dish at Noodles & Co. restaurant) and Ben got to see Mommy's new office. He was such a good boy and even said "I had fun today Mommy".

Mommy & Daddy can both quit their jobs! by Melissa

8.12.07

Ben loves to pretend he is going to work and he especially loved the day planner I received for my birthday. He carries it around, puts on Daddy's shoes and "leaves" for work - sometimes even saying he needs to check his email.

(ignore the chocolate frosting - Ben got a little messy with the frosting on my cake)

Fun with Family by Melissa

8.2.07

We had a wonderful time while Brad's brother and parents were visiting. Ben loved waking up and saying "Grandma and Grandpa downstairs!" We ate at a great seafood restaurant where I learned that "blackened" means super spicy...and Uncle David got a ton of hugs from Ben.

We also played lots of board games. Grandpa sure did love playing that Clifford game. I know what to get him for Christmas!
