Fun with baby Charlie

In the past couple weeks, we have had many exciting "firsts" with Charlie and lots of visitors. Here are a few highlights:

First visit to the park:



First sponge bath:


Ben's cousins came to meet baby Charlie. They loved playing Mario Kart, hide & seek and bouncing down the stairs on their butts!




Grandma on the farm came for a week - we decorated eggs, went to the ball pit and played outside a lot!



Grandma and Grandpa in Ames also came for a visit! Grandma cooked us lots of yummy meals and Ben enjoyed playing with them (a favorite game involved Grandma lifting Ben up like an airplane)!

Of course...Mom and Dad think he is perfect!! And Ben is a great big brother!

Now we just need the baby!

The baby's room is finished! My talented mother-in-law made the cutest curtains (and there are a ton of windows) and matching crib skirt.

Mommy's kisses

I wanted to share a cute story. Ben's teacher asked each of them to name two of their favorite things. Guess what Ben said? Not superheros or hotwheels cars, surprisingly.

He said "Mommy's kisses and cookies". Isn't that sweet??!?

Yeehaw!!

The National Western Stock Show is in town and Ben dressed up as a cowboy at school today! (and he is excited because he got a toy in his Fruit Loops)

Brad and Ben recently enjoyed an afternoon of sledding!

Dinosaur Day

On New Years Day, we went to a special dinosaur exhibit at the Nature & Science Museum. We had lots of fun digging for bones and learning about "mean" and "nice" dinosaurs (what Ben calls meat vs plant eaters). Then we came home and built our own stegosaurus dinosaur!
